Privacy Policy
🔒 The short version: Everything you type into Oneyfy tools stays in your browser — your inputs, results, and calculations are never sent to our servers. We do use Google Analytics and Google AdSense, which collect standard site usage data and may show personalised ads. You can opt out at any time.
1. Introduction
Welcome to Oneyfy ("we", "our", or "us"). We operate the website oneyfy.com (the "Site"), which provides free browser-based tools to the public. This Privacy Policy explains what data is collected when you use our Site and how it is used.
We are committed to transparency. Please read this policy carefully.
2. What Our Tools Collect — Nothing
All Oneyfy tools run entirely client-side (in your browser). We do not collect, store, or transmit:
- Any text, numbers, or data you enter into our tools
- Calculation results or tool outputs
- Personal health data (BMI, calories, body measurements, etc.)
- Passwords you generate using our Password Generator
- Any files or documents you process
This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.
3. Data Collected Automatically
When you visit the Site, the following data is collected automatically through the services described below:
a) Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site — which pages and tools are popular, how long people stay, what devices and browsers they use, and where traffic comes from. Google Analytics collects:
- Pages visited and time spent on each page
- General geographic location (country / city level — not precise)
- Browser type, operating system, and device type
- Referring website or search term
- Session and interaction data (clicks, scroll depth)
This data is associated with a cookie-based anonymous identifier and sent to Google's servers. It does not include the content you enter into our tools. You can opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by adjusting your cookie preferences in our consent banner.
b) Google AdSense
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on the Site. AdSense may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our Site and/or other sites on the internet.
You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ad Settings or aboutads.info. Opting out means you will still see ads, but they will not be personalised to you.
c) Hosting Provider Logs
Our hosting provider may collect server-level log data including your IP address (which may be anonymised), browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. This is standard for website hosting and is used for security and performance purposes.
4. Cookies
We use the following cookies on the Site:
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| theme (localStorage) | Oneyfy | Remembers your dark/light mode preference | Persistent (local only) |
| _ga, _gid, _ga_* | Google Analytics | Distinguishes users and sessions for analytics | Up to 2 years |
| __gads, __gpi, IDE, DSID | Google AdSense / DoubleClick | Ad delivery, frequency capping, and fraud prevention | Up to 2 years |
You can control cookies through your browser settings or our cookie consent banner. Note that disabling cookies may affect site functionality and ad relevance.
5. localStorage Usage
We use your browser's localStorage to save your dark/light mode preference. This data stays on your device and is never transmitted to us or any third party.
6. How We Use the Data
The site-level data collected through Google Analytics and AdSense is used to:
- Understand which tools are most used and improve the Site accordingly
- Monitor Site performance and fix issues
- Display relevant advertisements that help keep the Site free
We do not sell your data. We do not build individual user profiles. We do not use data from tool inputs for any purpose — because we never receive it.
7. Third-Party Services
The following third-party services operate under their own privacy policies:
- Google Analytics — Google Privacy Policy
- Google AdSense — Google Privacy Policy
- Hosting provider (GitHub Pages / Netlify / Cloudflare Pages / Vercel) — each has its own data handling policy
8. International Data Transfers
Google Analytics and Google AdSense may transfer data to servers located outside your country, including the United States. Google complies with applicable data transfer frameworks. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.
9. Children's Privacy
Our Site is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The tool inputs of children are never collected, as with all users. Google AdSense is configured for general audiences and does not serve personalised ads to users identified as minors.
10. Data Security
We do not store personal data from tool usage. Analytics and advertising data is handled by Google under their security standards. Your tool inputs and outputs exist only in your browser's memory and are discarded when you close or refresh the page.
11. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete data held about you. Since we do not store personal data ourselves, most data rights requests would be directed to Google. You can manage Google's data about you at myaccount.google.com.
If you believe we have inadvertently collected personal information, please contact us and we will promptly address your concern.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
